The works consisted of the refurbishment of the village changing area, water flume and replacement lighting within existing leisure centre, located off the Downshire Road in Banbridge.
We successfully programmed the works to facilitate a strict pool closure for the month of August, replacing changing cubicles, floor and wall tiles, internal doors, lighting and suspended ceilings, specialist flume modifications, complete with M&E installations, within the four week timeframe. Works were confined to the wet areas of the leisure centre, with the remainder of the leisure centre facilities remaining open to the public. A further challenge in this short contract was that the pool could not be drained, therefore we had to ensure safe access arrangements for works to the water flume and replacement of lights over the pool.
